Thank you to the twelve families who reserved one. Every bed is numbered and signed, and they will be built as a single batch in my Watkinsville shop this fall and delivered before the holidays. I will be sharing the run as it comes together.
The second run is open
The response was big enough that I am bringing on two craftsmen and building a second run. Reservations open Wednesday, August 5 at 7:00 PM ET. $8,800 for every size, delivered in February.

The Prince
Each bed is built from over 200 board feet of solid black walnut, with hand-lathed posts and brass bed bolt covers. I go through the walnut board by board and select the grain and figure myself, so the pattern flows across the whole piece. No veneers and no shortcuts. Because every board is chosen by hand, no two beds will ever look identical. These are heirloom pieces, made to be handed down.
Dimensions
Built with hardwood slats, so a box spring is not required unless you prefer a higher mattress height.
- Slat height: 11" (a 12" mattress sits at 23", a 14" mattress at 25", the standard range)
- Floor to bottom of rail: 6 1/2" (clearance to slide storage underneath)
- Headboard height: 68 3/4" at the top of the arc
- Front poster height: 74 1/4"
- Back poster height: 88"
