The Prince — Second Run Reservation

Reservations open Wednesday, August 5 at 7:00 PM ET. This page is a preview so you can look it over and bookmark it. Deposits cannot be placed until the window opens. The waitlist hears first, before the run goes public.

The first run of The Prince sold out in 37 minutes. This is the second run.

The Prince

Each bed in this run is built from over 200 board feet of solid black walnut, with hand-lathed posts and brass bed bolt covers. I go through the walnut board by board and select the grain and figure myself, so the pattern flows across the whole piece. No veneers and no shortcuts. Because every board is chosen by hand, no two beds will ever look identical. These are heirloom pieces, made to be handed down.

Second run pricing

$8,800 for every size, king, California king, and queen. The first run sold out at introductory pricing, and as I said from the start, that price was for that run only. This run is still well under what the Prince will cost long term.

Because every size is the same price, you are reserving a numbered spot here, not a size. After you reserve, I will email you to confirm your size (king, California king, or queen) along with your delivery details.

How the deposit and payments work

Your deposit is 10% of the bed price, $880. It reserves one of the numbered, signed beds and holds your place in line. Bed numbers are assigned in the order deposits arrive. Because each bed is built to order and walnut is purchased against confirmed reservations, the deposit is non-refundable.

The balance is split into two payments. 40% is due August 10th, when both runs go into production and I go through the walnut stack and pick the boards for your bed. The final 50%, plus delivery, is due before your bed ships.

Delivery

February. I will get these out as quickly as I can without compromising the work, and I will keep you updated as your bed moves through the shop. If you have a hard deadline you are trying to hit, tell me and I will do my best to accommodate it.

White Glove delivery and installation

I deliver and set up each bed personally where I can, and arrange White Glove delivery and installation everywhere else. Delivery typically runs $500 to $1,500 depending on your location. Email me at ko@revivingdawn.com before you reserve and I will send you an exact quote for where you are. Free pickup at the shop in Watkinsville, GA is always an option.

Dimensions

Built with hardwood slats, so a box spring is not required unless you prefer a higher mattress height.

• Slat height: 11" (a 12" mattress sits at 23", a 14" mattress at 25", the standard range)
• Floor to bottom of rail: 6 1/2" (clearance to slide storage underneath)
• Headboard height: 68 3/4" at the top of the arc
• Front poster height: 74 1/4"
• Back poster height: 88"

Customization

Every bed is made to the same specifications, which is what allows this pricing. If you would like a custom mattress or under-rail height, that is available from $500. Reach out before you reserve and I will walk you through the options.
