The First Production Run
Twelve solid walnut four poster beds, numbered and signed, delivered before the holidays.
You did this.
I posted this bed expecting a quiet week. What happened instead was the biggest response Reviving Dawn has ever had. Enough of you asked about it that I get to do something I've dreamed about since I started woodworking: a real production run. Twelve beds, built as a batch in my Watkinsville shop this fall. Building twelve at once brings my costs down, so the first run is priced at $6,800 for a king and $6,400 for a queen. Solid walnut four posters like this one usually sell for $9,000 to $12,500. This price happens once. Future runs will be at regular price.
Furniture as art.
Every bed in this run starts at the lumber stack, not the saw. I go through the walnut board by board, picking each one for its grain, its color, and the way it moves. Then I arrange those boards so the patterns flow across the whole bed, the way a painter works a canvas. No veneers, no shortcuts, solid black walnut and traditional joinery throughout. Each of the twelve is numbered and signed, because that's what you do with art. This is a piece for your home first, and a bed second.
Delivered by the hands that built it.
Wherever I can, I deliver your bed myself and set it up in your bedroom, in time for the holidays. Shipping is quoted individually based on where you are, and free pickup at the shop in Watkinsville is always on the table. A $1,000 deposit holds your bed and your delivery date, half is due when your bed goes into production, and the balance is due before delivery. The deposit is fully refundable any time before production starts.
From waitlist to your bedroom
Step 1: Join the waitlist (now). Reservations open August 10, and the waitlist gets a 48 hour head start before the run goes public. Twelve beds, first come first served. No cost, no obligation.
Step 2: Reserve your bed (August). A $1,000 deposit holds one of the twelve. Bed numbers are assigned in the order deposits arrive, so the earlier you reserve, the lower your number. Fully refundable any time before production begins.
Step 3: Production begins (September 1). Half of your bed's price, minus your deposit, is due when the run starts. This is when I go through the walnut stack and pick the boards for your bed.
Step 4: The build (September through November). All twelve beds are built as one batch in my Watkinsville shop. I'll be sharing the run as it comes together on Instagram, and you'll be able to watch your number take shape.
Step 5: Delivery (November and December). The balance and your shipping quote are due before your bed leaves the shop. Wherever I can, I deliver it myself and set it up in your bedroom. Every bed is in its home before the holidays.
