Custom Closets and Built-In Storage, Built Like Furniture

There is something grounding about an organized home. It makes waking up easier and going to sleep easier. It gives your mind a place to feel at peace. Custom closets and built-in storage are a quiet part of that, the systems that let you keep a house in order without the wasted time and daily aggravation that come when the base is not set up right in the first place. Get the bones of the storage correct, and the rest of the house mostly takes care of itself.
Storage That Works the Way You Live
We strive to create spaces that work specifically for you: your flow, your needs, your life. A closet is not a product pulled off a shelf in three-inch increments. It is a system shaped around the person using it, where the hanging height, the drawer depth, and the shelf spacing all answer to how you actually get dressed and put things away.
We approach closets and built-in storage the same way we approach everything in this shop, from a furniture maker's mind. We work through every detail of every joint, drawer, and shelf to make sure it works with you and is built to hold your valuables. Done right, the storage itself becomes an heirloom, not a system you replace in ten years when the laminate swells and the drawers stop closing square.
Custom Closets and Built-In Storage, Built Like Furniture
Most closet companies build from melamine and laminate panels on a catalog system, assembled fast and fitted with filler where the wall is not square. We build a different object. Solid hardwood where it matters, dovetailed drawer boxes, traditional joinery, faces selected board by board for grain, and every cabinet scribed to the real corner instead of the one the catalog assumes. That standard comes from furniture-making, which is where I started before cabinetry, and it is the same standard we bring to a kitchen, a vanity, or a library wall.
That approach reaches past the closet. Mudroom benches and lockers, pantry storage, window seats with drawers underneath, built-in bookcases, and the odd corners of an old house that no factory unit will ever fit, all of it is the same work. You can see more of that range in our architectural woodworks and built-ins.
A Slower, More Tailored Process
Our process is more tailored than the typical fast-paced closet company. We want to take the time to design spaces that mirror your style and match the home itself, and we render the work so you can see it before you commit to the build. Whether you are renovating a storage area in an older home or starting from scratch on a new build, we want to be there for the space.
We build custom closets and built-in storage for homes in Watkinsville, Athens, Oconee County, Lake Oconee, Gainesville, and Madison. If you have a closet, a mudroom, or a room full of storage you have been meaning to solve for good, tell us about the space and we will talk through what furniture-quality storage would look like in your home.
